COVID-19 Customer Update – Grayson Air Conditioning

In light of COVID-19, we would like to take this opportunity to share with you some of the policies and procedures that Grayson Air Conditioning has in place to protect the health and safety of you, our customer, and our team. 


  • We are wearing boot covers, masks, and gloves as well as using hand sanitizer regularly. 
  • We do not touch anything other than your A/C so we are asking our customers to open doors, attic accesses, etc. 
  • We are not exchanging pens, tablets, etc. 
  • We are practicing social distancing and following all guidelines from WHO and the CDC. 

 Our Policies and Procedures

  • We have a safety kit for each tech that include face masks, rubber gloves, shoe covers
  • We have limited all non-essential travel for all employees for the next 30 days
  • We have limited access to our facility to company personnel only
  • We have discontinued all large gathering events for the next 30 days.
  • Our technicians are not allowed to work if they have a fever or do not feel well
  • If a technician has a fever they will not be permitted to work until released by a doctor

We encourage our team members, customers, and community to:

  • Dry hands with paper towels instead of cloth towels
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
  • Stay home if sick or showing symptoms consistent with COVID-19
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Cover nose and mouth when sneezing or coughing with disposable tissues and then wash hands
  • Closely monitor and adapt recommendations and guidelines outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO)

I had a funky smell in my home and called Grayson AC. Garrett was the service man. He was on time and very professional. I bought the annual service plan. He inspected both the inside and outside units. He found mold and dust in my ducts. He offered to either replace the ducts or install this Reme Halo LED air purification light system in the duct that is supposed to kill the mold and get my house smelling normal again. I chose to install this air purification LED light and hope that it works in killing the mold and ridding my house of this funky smell. The light and the service to install this light was not cheap but that was to be expected I guess. It was however cheaper than replacing the ducts. Overall Garrett was very professional and on time and explained everything very well. I would recommend Grayson AC based on the service that I experienced. If anyone has any experience on this air purification system in their homes I would like to hear them.

Tech Joey P. Texted me about 30 minutes prior, which I appreciate. On time and he was very thorough with biannual maintenance contract I have with Grayson. Excellent work. He found a bad capacitor and changed it out, which can save u a lot of money before burning up motor/compressor. He explained all and allowed me to see the maint he did. Found him to be very knowledgeable and was courteous and professional. Would recommend Grayson as I have had them for a few years now and you develop a relationship with them. Thank you Joey!

We have used another local HVAC company for 11 years and had grown increasingly frustrated with their customer service and maintenance of our home systems. After waiting weeks to have our new generator installed, through two hurricanes and three days of unexplained missed appointments, we finally overcame inertia and our skepticism that any HVAC company would be any better and switched to Grayson. What a remarkable difference! Chase showed up on a Saturday when he said he would, explained the problem (which was thankfully small and inexpensive -- a phenomenon that never occurred with the other company) and fixed the issue. He was pleasant, professional and efficient, but took the time to make sure we understood the problem and solution. We've had the same experience discussing our generator needs with the pros at Grayson. Not only have they communicated well and educated us on generator-related issues, they communicated with each other which indicates a well-managed company. At the risk of sounding corny, dealing with the people at Grayson has been a breath of fresh air.

I was highly impressed by the service delivered from beginning to end with Grayson Heating and Air. You can't go wrong using them! Below is a more in-depth account of my experience.---------------------------------------------I called on a Monday. The two ladies in the office, Carolyn and Tracy, were extremely attentive and thorough answering my questions when I called the office.They were able to get Will Whiting out to my house the very next day on Tuesday afternoon to take a hands on look at my AC system situation. The entire time he was out of his van he took every precaution necessary to ensure mine and his safety with the "COVID situation" going on. He got me a range of estimates for repairing and or replacing my system by the next morning on Wednesday. The estimate was spot on. We had gotten a quote for one of the things that Will quoted us a few months prior and he was right in that same range so I knew the prices were fair.Once my wife and I determined what we wanted to do, I got back in touch mid-day Wednesday with Will and he got us set up for a Friday installation.In this day and age, most companies give you a 4 hour window of arrival and you sit and wait for their people to show up. Grayson gave us solid accurate times of arrival and came exactly when they said they would.The install team that came on Friday were super nice and respectful of my wife and 3 month old. Andrew. Travis, and Donald all made sure that my wife knew when they were coming down the stairs or in and out of the house. They took every precaution to protect my property and protect us while they were here given the ongoing "COVID Situation".The system is performing exactly like we were told. The house was already cooling off within hours of the system being activated. Our temperature has stayed exactly where we set it. There are no "hot and cold" spots, it's consistent throughout the house.The best part of all? The savings on our power bill. It has been almost a week since the system was installed. Every single day since, Alabama Power is reporting our usage has dropped $5 a day. The system is going to be saving us close to $150 or more a month off our power bill! I'll be certain to tell anyone I know needing HVAC to call Grayson Heating and Air! Thanks Guys and Gals!

We had to call on a Friday evening when our a/c went out. It was about 8:30 pm. Grayson A/C responded immediately. The service technician called and was on his way and by 10:30 pm our a/c was up and running. We have had excellent service, response and quality work and equipment for over 10 years with Grayson a/c. I just had my more than 20 year old central air conditioning and gas furnace replaced with a new upgraded "21st century" variable 5 speed system. After the installation, there was an immediate noticeable difference in the rapid cooling power of the new system (we knew that part). Andrew and Billy (the air techs installing the system) were exceptional, pleasant, and conscientious workers. Outstanding attitudes and ability to quickly and efficiently complete the project. I was happy that they took time answer all my concerns and questions about the new system from start to finish.I could see that these guys care about about the quality of their work. And they payed attention to my family's specific home improvement needs. I am very pleased. And I am looking forward to lower power bills and a comfortable home where my family can live and work. I've been using Grayson for over 2 years now and each experience has been exceptional. I signed up for the Maintenance plan and Garrett was the technician that came out. He was very professional and thoroughly explained everything that was done. Made suggestions which led me to having the UV light installed to help with air quality. I had to have a completely new unit installed. The service I received was impeccable. Richard handled the initial Service call and quoted price, Tracy helped me thru the financials, Chris and Bill were my installers and Chase helped Tracy and I thru the computer maze! All of the team was professional, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I would recommend Grayson, hands down, to handle your needs. 💯💯 TOP NOTCH SERVICE!💯💯After having them 30 years in Mobile and my entire family uses them!Their quarterly check on HVAC💨💨 systems is WONDERFUL! Did you know there's a place in all units that a capful of bleach is supposed to be put?! It keeps black mold and other harmful pathogens from the inside unit!! Along with the quarterly contract costly repairs, parts, labor and service calls for maintenance are offered at DISCOUNTED PRICES. HIGHLY-QUALIFIED techs come out to inspect the HVAC every season making sure everything is in order and working just fine! I have had my current unit for 14yrs now. Maintaining it with their services you know if there's a problem before there's actually a problem!HVAC doctors that come out with a smile and knowledgeable about everything related- inside and outside units, air filter checks and with a few tricks of the trade they keep systems running optimally and for a longer lifespan. Because they inspect and adjust settings my power bill has been consistent and LOWER than before using them! Who doesn't like saving money and knowing what to expect?! I sure do!!!Thank you Grayson for the hard work that has kept my cheapo Adams builder grade AC in PERFECT SHAPE- long outliving almost every other in the neighborhood, even the newer ones!I like it ARTIC COLD here in Mobile, AL in my 1200 ft² home. I pay roughly $120/mo for power with AC set to 70. They're working some kind of magic for my bill to stay that low with it running constantly.Again, I can't praise them enough! Over The Top Experience!On Friday, I inquired about possibly getting a more energy efficient unit due to mine being 20 years old. Richard came out and gave me several different options to weigh. They told me they could install it as early as Monday! I ended up going with the infinity system. This thing is a BEAST! Grayson Air Conditioner gave me everything I asked for with no gimmicks! I asked if it were possible to complete in one day, and they made it happen! They also blew in 16 bags of insulation in my attic, which before was almost non exsistent! I would say they are an honest group of guys, and would recommend them over and over again. The quality of service is impeccable! Thanks for everything!

Dolphin Line has been very pleased with our service. Garrett is our usual tech and not only does he have a magnificent red beard, he is extremely knowledgeable and solved a huge issue we have been having with air quality. He installed UV lights in our duct work and I no longer have to take Sudafed every day to be able to stay at work, which is good and bad, haha! I thought I would have to take it for the remainder of my career, but I am feeling much better and the effects were within a 48 hour period! Thank you!!!

I just had the summer inspection of my 15 year old Heat/AC unit by the very polite and efficient technician Garrett on Tuesday, May 26. He serviced the unit, and explained why a $2,000 part needed replacement. Garrett took the time discuss my two options: replace the costly part on an outdated unit or consider a new one. He also mentioned that Grayson offers monthly payment plans with no interest for a new unit. I told him I would let him know the following day. When I called him, he scheduled the installation for the next day.The following morning, team Chris and Billy called to let me know they were heading my way. They were a courteous and excellent team! By the way, Mr. Grayson also dropped by during the installation. I highly recommend Grayson Air Conditioning!

I have been with this company since 2012 and their service has always been friendly, polite, and professional. Recently I had to purchase a new system and they were able to install it within 3 days. I love the fact that Garrett was patient and answered all my questions so respectfully. On the first seriously muggy day this Spring, the upstairs AC unit gave out. Within an hour of my call to Grayson, Chase Deakle arrived and found the cause of the failure of the fan on the outside unit. This old AC was back in operation with some minor repairs. I could tell they were more concerned with identifying the problem(s) and giving me honest solutions than getting out in under an hour. Great experience with this company! My sister called them for me after my local AC company had given me an outrageous quote after finding mold in my current AC system. Peter came out almost immediately and after reviewing and inspecting my 2 systems came up with a more reasonable plan and discussed it with me thoroughly and provided a written quote. He then contacted a company that will clean the vents for me. The technicians that came out the next day to make adjustments in my current system were excellent, keeping me informed of their progress and then reviewing all the work they had done, making sure I was aware of other potential costs and getting my upfront approval. They also cleaned up and left my home looking great after. I now have UV lights installed and have moved my annual service contract to this excellent company. There are still good, honest companies out there-or at least 1!Thank you Grayson!
